I want to know what are some of the games available on the xbox 360 that has OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER option. For eg. Racing games, where me and my roommate can race against each other etc.

I am not looking for only racing games but all the game on the 360 where two people can play against each other offline.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It is called system link if you have two or more consoles and 2 or more screens. It is split screen if it is on the same console. Almost all games have both. It lists it on the back of the games or on xbox games. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/catalog.aspx?WT.svl=nav

The biggest problem with shooters, is that they usually don't have ai bots, so it is just 1vs1. Some games have co op where you go thru the story together.

My friends and I are playing lately: halo 3 co op, graw 2, and pgr3. With a little bit of gow (I hate the no jump thing, but it sure looks pretty)

I spent countless hours with my roomates playing that with bots, loads of fun as well.

NHL08 and FIFA08 get worn out at my place when 2 people are playing.

MP AI bots seem like a lost art. So few games have it. R6V has terrorist hunt and the option was available on GRAW 2 but I can't remember any other games.

I think Star Wars Battlefront had decent MP bots. I vaguely remember playing CTF and other objective gametypes against the AI but I could be wrong. :)

Man, when are they going to make Star Wars Battlefront for the new generation of consoles? The AI bots may have been pretty stupid, but it was still a great multiplayer game.

I think they are working on force unleashed and a indiana jones game. I would like to see BF 3. I think the Ai can be turned harder in the settings in bf2.

Ya, I'm hoping for the same, and even at higher settings those storm troopers weren't the brightest. Good fodder though.

Can some one tell me if TOP SPIN 2 or Virtua Tennis 3 has Offline play modes. Can I play against a friend offline from the same console in any of these games. Is there any new release to any of these games coming up any soon.

Top Spin 3 is scheduled for release in 2008, but i don't know when exactly, and from what i hear it's supposed to be best in the series. so far, the original TS (on the original Xbox) was the only good one out of all of the XBL compatible tennis games, TS2 and VT3 were both disappointments to me...
