I had an issue with connecting but let me first tell you what happened

I had a modem that just connected to one computer.I then use to switch between my 360 and pc but then I bought a laptop and got the 2wire modem.I was having an IP issue and I had an ethernet cable coming straight from the 2wire to my 360 but my laptop could connect.I finally called my ISP and then I called Xbox support what I found out was all I had to do was restore my network to the defaults and then clicked Xbox live and it connected so I want to tell anyone that that is new to this and has the same situation this is what you should do

1.Check and see if other pcs can connect with another pc

2.Go to network settings click restore defaults

3.Go to connect to Xbox live and everything should work


I wrote this because even though a whole lot of people use the same things we do as far as entertainment hardware and software sometimes you just cant get an answer to the question. Hope this helps anyone that is new to the Xbox live family
