So I have been driving myself store to store trying to compare Samsung DLP and Sony SXRD models. I posted in those threads about the lack of "pop" I thought those 60" sets had.

So today I drove around like mad, got into all the menu's and really tried to get them to look like my HLS5087W. When I looked at both LCD and smaller DLp's they seemed to have that sharpness that I was looking for. Then I tried comparing the same model Samsung over sizes 50, 56 and 61. I noticed everytime I went bigger the picture became softer.

This is a crap signal in over Coax being fed into these sets so I didn't have access to the new HDMI Black levels. My only theory is that a bigger screen will show the imperfections of a lousy feed more than a smaller one but it still doesnt explain the lack of depth or sharpness in the picture.

I used the HL-T6187 vs the HL-T6176S, ironically I liked the 76 series better. In one store though the LED set looked good, good blacks etc but in this review: http://ultimateavmag.com/rearprojectiontvs/807sam5687/index.html claims the blacks just arent as good in the Led set. So basically what I am asking is this, is there anyway the same model set (either model) can have a different PQ than a smaller size?
