So I'm looking for a 7.2 speaker system that will have the identical LCR behind a 2.35 screen. The room is about 3800 cubic feet and I'm hoping to come in around $15K (give or take a couple thousand).

This much I know....I want identical LCRs (tweeters at ear height) and I want dipolar (or switchable) surrounds and direct rears (a THX setup). I will most likely do the 80 Hz THX crossover.

I like the idea of a THX system but not sure if the THX certified speakers are worth it or the best for the application (e.g. Klipsch or Snell).

Put it this way, I'm going to build a Home Theater with the 6 Star Wars movies as my reference material.

Just seeing what others have chosen in that price range for their dedicated HTs.

At that budget, there are many many great speakers, you'll need to get out and audition. Dunno that I'd be too concerned with whether or not the speakers are THX certified, I'd base my decision on how well I liked their sound.
