I noticed the other day when I was watching the latest Die Hard movie that when the screen was black because the movie was loading on about a third of the left side of the screen picture was darker. Once the movie started and there were bright images on the screen I didn't notice the problem. The source was my Samsung 1200 Blu-Ray player. After I noticed this I tried my other DVD player which is a Sony 7700 and noticed the distinct difference in black level on the left side of screen. The two players are going through a Faroudja processor and then out to my projector via RGBVH. Is this a convergence issue or is something going bad on the projector? Any help would be appreciated this is the first problem I have had with this projector and don't know where to start to fix problem.

Try hooking up a source directly to the projector, skip the processor. Or, does this occur with no source attached?

Sorry I have been out of town so I didn't get a chance to reply, but I did fix the problem. I believe the problem was with my Faroudja processor. Hopefully this week I will get a chance to install my new Moome HDMI card and I will be able to bypass the Faroudja completely. Thanks.
