Harmony or Universal?

I am getting to many remotes and i need help on getting a remote do it all.

1. Pioneer fhd1 plasma. This remote is pretty simple and one thing i like is going to pure or standard at times on this remote. I also like using different screen sizes. I do not use alot more on this remote unless i get into the settings. This plasma has no tuner and no speaker, in which i might add some powered bookshelf or even some Pioneer side speakers on the wall.

2. Charter cable box and this is my tuner. I use this remote to turn my tv on, Pioneer 92 receiver on, and cable box on. I think this cable box is a Motorola 6200 hooked up with hdmi.

3. Pioneer 92 receiver & B&W speakers. This remote i use the different sound settings alot.

4. Omnimount Motion 52 wall mount remote. Turns my plasma left, right, down and back to the wall. Simple small remote. Omnimount teamed up with Samsung, on this wall mount.

At some point i might hook a Sony 200 cd disc changer inline or just get a Squeezebox. On the cable remote i use channels alot, number pad channels alot, menu and info to see what the program is. Channel Favs button. Could some of you tell me a few remotes to choose from? I have never had a remote to work all these things and getting tired of having so many remotes in bed or around me. It would be nice if the remote had some kind of backlight. I see where the Harmony One seems popular and i wouldn't rule it out but that is about as high as i would want to go and would hope i could get something good and get by cheaper. I will get a blu ray player sometime. I have no dvd player now.

Any remote should do what you need since all you are asking for is an IR remote. Just get a remote with macros and/or activities and it will make things easy for you and others using the remote.

If you have line-of-sight issues then you'll need an IR repeater or a remote with an RF to IR repeater.

Harmony will be cheaper and maybe easier to program yourself. Universal will probably be more expensive and may have a higher learning curve on the programming, but would result in more flexibility in configuration.

Thanks bryansj. I'll look at some of the Harmony's and read about them. I know if they hook up to a computer and have software to program them by, that would look like the easiest way.
