Here is a problem I am facing.

I have ordered the Yamaha RX-V663 which is basically the 661
with the HDMI 1.3 audio formats added.
I had tried the 661 and 659 before and returned them maily
because the remote response was very slow and also I had to
go through many layers in the menu to do what my old
RXV-795a remote could do just by one click of the button.

Here is an example. To set the front speakers to small on 661,
I have to hit the menu then manual or auto then speaker setting
and then scroll through to pick the speakers. There might be
one more laye that I must have forgotten.

Is it possible to create a 1-button macro in any of the
universal remotes so that I dont have to go through the
multiple layers each time?

I have been holding off on buying any AVR mainly due to the
remotes. I didnt like like the Onkyo 605 remote either. Next
I have to try the Marantz SR4002. All of them have multiple
layers to get to what I want.

So if it is posible to create a macro on a universal remote, that
would help a lot. My budget for the remote is some $100-125
