Guys...I just had a couple quick questions that I hadnt had any luck searching the forums for.
1. Is there a recommended wireless game-adapter out there >$50?
2. Does the 360 get firmware upgrades? If so, how would I go about getting the latest firmware?
Thanks for the help!

1. Nothing I can recommend...although at times you can find the official microsoft one from ebay for ~$60-65.
2. It gets updates via the dashboard if you are hooked up to the internet. It should pop up automatically if/when there's one available. If you don't have it hooked up to the internet, you can download the updates from xbox.com and burn them to a CD-R and that will update your xbox.

There are lots of game adapters that cost more than $50.
If you MEANT adapters that cost less than $50, then I have used both of these with good results.
