So I have a 360 or i've had a few, i got the PRP from best buy so if it screws up i'm cool, but i don't want that so i wanted to know how to keep my 360 cool. Heres what i'm doing i have my 360 open space only its horizontal and i want to keep it that way. i was thinking something like a little fan and blowing it in the direction of the 360 would that keep the temp down. I'm also gonna do this thing where i game for like and hour or two and then let my 360 rest for 15 or20 minutes and then get on again instead of just playing for hours on end . do u think this will help. tell me what u think

any extra fans would generate more noise. think about that.
gaming in the "play - rest - play" method you describe is ideal, however how many times have you said "let me rest for a couple of minutes" while you just got owned on COD4?
I have to jump back in and beat them to a bloody pulp.

I don't subscribe to the play and rest philosophy. You should just play it as you normally would. No need to have a fan blowing right on it. You already have it open air flow. Just keep the room at a moderate temperature and you will be fine.

Rubber feet on the bottom to increase air flow:

Just buy the extended warranty and play it with no extra fans.

If you want an extra fan, an 80mm PC fan up against the right side of the console (when horizontal) blowing air into the case would help for sure, thats right where the CPU heatsink is.

Remove the memory windows from the face plate, these are right in front of the cpu and will let air come in better, put a laptop cooler under the 360, this will suck the heat away, this is what I've done and have had no more problems.

Koolance (http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=329) makes a liquid cooled system for the 360. Cost as much as the console itself, but should take away all of your overheating worries.

remove the x-clamps, add AS5 and stop worrying about the heat.

you don't have to do anything... you have a 3 year warranty, and newer boxes don't have any issues.. so relax and enjoy

That thing is awesome! you might as well buy a mini fridge and run wires out the back. Couldn't you just keep the money instead of buying a cooling system for 400 bucks, and buy a new 360 when your old one cooks? Still awesome nonetheless!
