I just received my MX-3000 (used) in the mail today. Downloaded the software, followed the prompts, and installed Active Sync on my laptop, but when I plug it in, I get the "Found New Hardware" box, and then it installs URC USB Sync MX, only to fail. I've un-installed and installed several times, only to get it to successfully connect ONCE. Anybody have suggestions on how to combat this issue? My laptop is a USB 1.0, and a PIII Toshiba Portege 7200 (A few years old), running XP.

Shot in the dark here but try to connect your remote via cable while it is in the charging base. I needed to do this the first time and there after when syncing I never needed to do it again (unless the batter was very weak).

Tried that, I got the same result. I suspect something is wrong with the USB software that automatically tries to install right when I plug it in.
