I have oppo 981HD in my system and want to improve sound quality for music.
I plan to buy 1 more universal player for playing DVD-A, SACD and redbook CD.
So HDMI or Upscaling processor is not necessary but sound quality for 2 channel audio is very essential.

What is the best player for music under $2000?
I don't have any problem with the used gear, so you can recommend the old model under $5000.

Your source player is important, your amp , speakers, cabling , preamp, etc ALL affect sound.
