Hi Guys
Before I attempt to install my G90, is the Green C Element mod worth doing and where do I obtain it.
I E-Mailed VDC but they did not respond.
I know its a 9" Marquee C Element.

Yes, IMHO replacing the lighter Sony green c-element with the darker Marquee green c-element is worth doing, but only if you plan on getting a professional color calibration or have the equipment and experience to take advantage of the true/accurate colorspace.
If you're just eyeballing the primary color balance, I doubt the results will be good enough to approach the extended color range provided by the difference between the c-elements.

Also note that the darker green c-element costs about 10% in light output.
What condition are your tubes?
is your room light controlled?
what size/material/gain is your screen?

I don't know if VDC ever replies to emails..;)
You're better off having someone here order it, then send it to you.

Sounds like a nice setup. What size is the screen and what size is the room?
With only 300 hours, make sure you maximize the image width properly on the phosphor.

There is color calibration i.e., primery color on G90!!?
Or you are referring to grayscale set up?

Screen 92" X 52"
Room 18' X 13'
We sit at one end of the 18'.
At the moment there is a G70 installed.
And the G90 is on the floor on a trolly (cart) underneath it so I'm thinking to set it up for maximum phosphor.
How close can I have the raster to th edge of the tubes.

Richard,
I already did it twice on two of my units and took a set of picture. I've putted some of them on this thread : http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=834751
But as said before, you'll need a new D65 color calibration after this replacement. I usually do it with Spyder2Pro sensor and colorfact 6.0 Pro. You can rent some hours of a calibration expert to do this as well.

All this imformation is most appreciated

I have a similar setup. In my opinion you really need a good light controlled room as the output on my G90 after professional ISF calibration was about 8 foot lamberts. I'm using a Studiotek 130 with the same dimensions. Light output does decrease noticeably but the improvements in colorimetry make the trade offs worth it IMHO. I normally run 65 contrast and 23 brightness on a pj with just under 1500 hrs (700 hrs on the green). Go for it.
