DirectTV HR21 receiver, morning after the Oscars, Blue screen appears with the message "Almost there......", the system appears to be stuck loading fireware, yet, the remote controls Power does not shut the system off, the only way is to un-plug the unit, also, the controls on the face of the unit, the circular blue dial, is constantly going in circles. How do I get my HD back!!!!! This has been going on since Monday! Help!

If unplugging and replugging doesn't help then you need to call Directv.

Hi Joe, I finally got it going. Unplugging and re-plugging the unit, you get the Hello message, at that point, using the remote, hit the sequence 0 2 4 6 8 and the re-download the firmware and install. It all came back.
