Last night I was moving my Oppo DV981-HD player on my rack to a different shelf. After I connected it to my heavy duty HDMI cable, I went to tuck the cable back behind the rack and it twisted the HDMI input in the Oppo player. It still works but if I move my player at all, the screen on my TV goes blank and I have to unplug and plug the HDMI cable in again. I tried it with another HDMI cable and got the same result. When I look at it I can see how it was twisted.
Beware of those heavy duty cables that don't have much flex!
