Thanks! For some reason I've never seen 2001 in its entirety, so may as well see it in HD.

I wouldn't be surprised if UHD was cutting up movies in addition to running commercials in them now. So, you might not actually see it in its entirety...

I know on the 4 or 5 that I've DVRd since the advent of commercials they haven't done so yet, although the breaks can be weirdly timed.

Definitely slowing down on the first runs this month, though.

I don't watch movies on UNI HD because I hate being interrupted by commercials. I just assumed that they edited them, like regular tv does. Is that true, or are they the original movies w/ language, nudity, violence, etc. intact, only with commercials in between? If that's the case, I would take the time to DVR the movies I want to see, and watch it later.

heh, yeah I scanned it twice thinking maybe i just missed it. I'll be recording euro vacation, private parts, the jackal and spy game most likely.

Why do you make two references to a movie you're not showing?

I took UHD off my favorites as soon as they started showing commercials... sorry.

I hate the commercials as well. I dont mind watching the movies though if I am doing nothing or just need something to fall asleep to. Some of the movies have "limited" commercials which as someone said before are weirdly timed.

TO the member who asked if they are "unedited" to the best of my recollection they are. The last time I watched a movie that had anything in it there were no edits. Its been awhile though since I've watched something all the way through.

Sorry, UHD, but since you went to commercials and a persistent logo, I no longer watch you. Got plenty of HDMs and SD DVDs to watch instead. And yes, I'd rather watch an upconverted SD DVD without commercials or a logo than watch UHD.

Agreed. It really ticks me that D* moved Universal into the 'HD Extra' ($$$) pack about the same time they started showing commercials. WTF???

2001: A Space Odyssey in OAR and uncompressed audio is a compelling reason to own a Blu-ray or HD DVD player!

I would've taped 2001 since I've never seen it but my guide still has No Data Available. Usually Comcast updates Tuesdays.

The press release in the first thread mentions Harrison Ford and I don't see too many black and white movies on UHD.
