I reviewed some articles about the Cisco 8500HDC series of HD DVR units that were announced at the 2008 CES.

Anyone have any info on possible deployment of those boxes? With Navigator now starting to show up on systems (I just got it on Feb. 26 on TWC-San Diego), it would be a help as the hardware is much faster than my 3+ year old 8300HD.

I believe the 8500hdc dvr your talking about is the 8300hdc dvr. They do not have a 8500 on scientific atlanta's website. Maybe the 8500 got change to the 8300 anyways i have the 8300hdc dvr is nice it is a ocap box. As for the navigator software needs alot of work.

No Wd, humdinger is correct, the 8500 series was announced at this years CES, I would love to get ahold of one of these as soon as TWC picks em' up.
