I'm considering going from my current Panasonic PT-AE700U to the Panasonic PT-AX200U. One of the main differences is the lumens. The 200U has twice the lumens as the 700U (2000 vs. 1000).

My theater is a dedicated basement theater with 100% light control. Will the picture seem a lot brighter?

I'm pretty happy with my current setup, but I need to get another projector for a showroom and thought I might update my current projector. They're both a 720p, so other than the lumens, I don't think there is a lot different.

Any thoughts?

At first evaluation it probably won't be as much brighter as you expect unless your current lamp is old.

If you current lamp is old, it will be very dramatic. :)
