Ok I am at my wits end. I have Yahoo'd, Googled and serched the HELL out of these forums for a simple answer:
I just updated my Dish Network receiver to a VIP 722. I have the XBOX 360 Harmony Remote and no matter what I try this remote will not control the PVR box.
It keeps wanting me "What input does your DVR need to be on?". And asks me either "SD or S Video". I didnt think I used either since it is HD and I use component cables.
My god! Someone help me please!!:o

Is your 722 seeing any IR signals from the Harmony?

Nope.
I cant believe no one had has this issue. The Harmony for 360 is basically a Harmony 550. I believe it has something to do with the damn "dual tuner" feature of the 722.

The 722 is presumably on an IR channel other than 1. Change it to IR Ch 1 to match the Harmony. I'm surprised that during the setup process it did not ask you to go into Learn Mode and have you push a few buttons to determine which channel IR was being used.
The 622 (and presumably 722) are now shipped with a random choice of IR channel. This reduce the number of conflicts with other Dish recivers by a factor of ~15.

Any idea how you change the IR channel of the 722? I have looked in the manual and came away with nothing.
Also, when setting up the Harmony for this new box it never asked me to go into learn mode.
Thanks SaltiDawg! Found out how to change the IR address on the 722 and it now works!:D
If anyone ever searches for this info: Look at Chapter 10, PG. 72 in your 722 instruction manual for instructions on how to change your IR number.

I'm glad it's working. Maybe it only determines which IR channel you are on when you have more than one Dish receiver. If only one it assumes Ch1???
I know I used to control two Dish 508 Rcvrs independently with the same Harmony remote and during the setup it asked me push a couple of buttons on each of the Dish remotes in Learn Mode just to determine the IR Ch for each of the 508's.
