ok i got way to many remotes and need a remote that will control my comcast motorola hd cable box, my philips 42" lcd, and my philips hts3544 surround dvd system, an old jvc vcr, and possibly a gateway dvd buner. my main concerns are the tv, cable box, and surround, and i want to be able to set the remote up so that the volume buttons will control my surround system, the channel and menu buttons the cable box, and so on without having to constantly change devices if you know what i mean. looking to spend around $100. both the sru 8010 and the 550 look right up my alley so please tell me what you think, or if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

ps- i gotta admit i like the lcd screens on these remotes, that is a cool feature to me.

Just got a Harmony 520 myself the other day which is almost identical to the 550 and I must say it's a fantastic remote and extremely simple to operate. Just been doing the basics with it now but the cool feature is that you set it up and push one button to turn on and set all your components to the proper setting to watch TV, DVD or whatever activity you want it to do and also to be able to control the channel and volume without having to switch anything. It's well worth the price and extremely easy to set the remote up with your computer.

i ended up buying the 550 today and it works really well, its so nice having one remote control ALL of my stuff flawlessly. the only complaint i do have is that i cant stop playing with it!

Yeah, I'm having a bit of the same dilemma myself between the Harmony 550 and Prestigo 8010 myself, since both seem to be the "bang for the buck" remotes from both companies. However, I'm sort of wondering how well those would do with a Samsung LN46A750, Xbox 360, Cox Cable STB, Yamaha HTR-6160, or any of those? I'm trying to find out which one would be best for ALL of those components.
