So my X360 drive has kicked the bucket - it won't recognize discs that are either brand new or played recently, and suggests that the media needs to be played on an X360.
The rest of the unit seems to be functional, and it is my assumption from the grinding noise that the drive will need to be replaced.
Can you just detach the hard drive, reattach to another unit to use DLC? (I have GH2, GH3, RB and KR:AI downloads as well as some videos and maps/cars).
MS support sent me an email as long as my arm that in a nutshell told me to unplug, clean the disc and then service so I thought I would try to get some feedback here.
