So my nephews and I were playing the 360 this weekend and I noticed my systems circle of light started completely lighting up upon boot up.

So when I turn on the system now, all four lights stay lit no matter how many controllers are connected...

Interesting huh...

Anyone else ever experience this? Does it mean anything?

I did notice this after I connected the Scene it IR attachment. I'll disconnect the attachment and see if the ring stays lit. I'm sure there are other causes too.

check power and AV cords. 4 rings is usually one of those two

And to be more clear, they are all green, not red. The system is working and playing fine.

One controller and all four quads are lit green.

You might try experimenting with turning on and off the console using the power button vs the dashboard/controller and see if there is any difference.

you may also try to re-sync your controllers, sounds liek the box is having probs reading them?

I notice the same thing when I have my Scene-It receiver hooked up. It works fine and any regular controlers will acurately show the correct ring segment, but the ring on the box is always on. It does not do it when the receiver is not plugged in.

Mine does that because of the Scene It usb attachment. It doesn't affect any normal operations.

I too have the Scene-it receiver hooked up. That must be it...

Funny thing is I never experienced this prior, as the IR receiver was hooked up to the HD DVD add on. It is now hooked up directly to the 360.

My scene it reciever is also hooked up to the hd-dvd add on but I get the all the rings lit still
