Is there a sticky somewhere that shows which HD Stations broadcast in 720p verus 1080i that one can get over Dish/Direct ?

I don't know about a 'sticky' but I've found that abc and espn (all) broadcast in 720p. If you have a directv tuner, look at the 'setup' page whe you are on a given channel; it will tell you what HD level is being broacast.

The only networks broadcasting in 720p are FOX-HD, ABC-HD, ESPN-HD and National Geographic HD.

All the rest are 1080i

And Nat Geo HD is not 720p in every region - in Europe it is 1080i.

I used AVS's Google search feature with "HDTV network resolution" (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/gtsearch.php?cx=001381781930431233427%3Apbbbasrrsh8&cof=FORID%3A11&q=hdtv+network+resolution&sa=Search#1373)and your thread was not on the results page.

Perhaps you could add some keywords or alter the title to make the search easier

It does sound though like I might be able to find out what was happening on "Lost" while I was on vacation.
