View Full Version : Bully anyone?
mproper 03-03-08, 10:34 AM Anybody planning on getting Bully: Scholarship Edition? I love sandbox games, and this looks to be good.
Never played it on the last generation, so maybe someone could chime in on how it stacks up.
I never played it, but my brother (age 37) thought it was fun. He was playing a ton of GTA San Andreas. A couple weeks later he got Bully and kept telling me how much fun he thought it was. I'm definately going to rent this one for a week or two and play through a lot of it.
bgarner 03-03-08, 11:13 AM I am considering purchasing this as well, but currently playing Lost Odessey. If I can wrap up LO in the next week or so, then I may get this next. Not really a huge fan of Grand Theft Auto, so hoping it is not like it.
sirjonsnow 03-03-08, 11:22 AM I'm thinking to order this tonight, the trailer is hilarious and I had wanted it when it was originally planned for the old Xbox.
I played it for the PS2. Not that great IMO. Certainly doesn't hold a candle to the GTA games in terms of size and openness.
def interested in picking it up. I remember enjoying the PS2 version but thinking it would be so much better in HD on the 360.
here's the ign review if anyone wants to check it out:

KLUNKDM 03-03-08, 01:24 PM I would like to get it, but with the new games coming out now and next month, I will just wait and get it later when the prices drops.
alucard_x 03-03-08, 02:13 PM it was a decent game.. wasn't as fun or addicting as GTA for me. it lost it's appeal.
ultracat 03-03-08, 02:16 PM I think I'll pick it up. I always wanted to play Bully when it was on PS2 but I had an XBOX. Now I finally can check it out! I love the concept of this game.
Degenerazn 03-03-08, 02:26 PM I played a couple hours on the PS2 version. This is a hilarious game and brings something new to the genre. How many games are there lets you play as a punk kid in a boarding school causing massive amounts of trouble? Kinda relives some of my earlier childhood, good and bad.
dbburns 03-03-08, 02:49 PM Sounds like a good game. I may have to pick this up. Any deals out there this week, or is it pretty much full price everywhere?

Normal price seems to be $49.99 (at Best Buy anyways). So it's not that expensive...$10 cheaper than most new games.
I'm going on vacation for a couple weeks, so I think I'll just try to find a used copy when I get back. Otherwise I'll just pay full price.
HeadRusch 03-03-08, 03:39 PM I read the review of this game back on the PS2, sounded neet..but at the same time, there seemed to be alot of repetitive mission type stuff...kinda like GTA only without the car chases :P
Is there a demo due out?
the red worm 03-03-08, 06:07 PM It looks like a slightly higher res ps2 port from the video I watched on marketplace. Not interested.
I am enjoying this one. It has been very entertaining to say the least. It is a different type of gaming experience that has been fun for me. Very creative. :)
I'm enjoying the game too. It's different from the rest of the games in the Xbox 360, so that's more variety for the console.
Too bad that the loading screens kill the game.

the load screens don't kill the game for me at all.
actually, most of the screens load SO fast that I don't even have time to read the game "hint" at the bottom of the load screen.
