Due to space constraints in my living room and specifically on the piece of furniture my SXRD 60A3000 sits on, I do not have a place to put my Denon AVR1908. It is currently sitting on the floor. My eD A3-300 sub is on order. I was wondering if sitting the receiver on top of it would be possible. If so, are there any dangers? Should I purchase some sort of absorbing material to use a a mat between the top of the sub and the avr's feet? Or is this just a terrible idea? If so, why?

Not a good idea. Vibration is going to shake your receiver apart eventually.

Thanks Warpdrive. I was afraid that would be the case.

Anyone else have an opinion or is Warpdrive so correct that there is just no point in further discussion?
