Seen this on another site about Toshiba's plan about a 960p super-upconverting player. Seems really neat. (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120450428955606405.html?mod=hps_us_editors_picks)
Didn't know if this fell in the HD catagory (it's supposed to do 960p), but thought I'd see what ya'lls opinions are on it.
Think it'll replace current upconverting players?

My HD-DVD player already upconverts to 1080i, and it only cost $75! Plus it plays HD-DVD discs! WTF!

This forum has pretty much turned into a discussion about anything that can take steam out of blu ray. Let's hope someday it'll return to talking about tech that actually exists in the marketplace instead of vapor and FUD from companies/customers who are bitter...
