Need advice...I'm about to mount my VW60 and have a quick question. I will be using the Chief RPA-020. My 2x4 joist are spaced 16" apart. So, I will use two wood anchors and two sheet wall anchors to mount the projector? If not correct please let me know.

I would be concerned about that. Having half the fasteners in to sturdy backing means that the weight will be "off center" and that it might droop a bit.

Can you straddle both joists with a mounting plate?

You have 2x4 joists? What are they holding up?

When I look into the ceiling I see Trusses and in between those are 2x4's 16" oc...If I'm wrong sorry, this is why i buy new homes...Not very handy...:)
