hey everyone
I am getting ready to order my berkline chairs, actually a theater love seat and a couch> Question is My room is 15 X 15 and is also my living room. I have a pioneer vxs82txs with monitor audio speakers and sub. Is there any advantage in buying the buttkickers in the furniture and why? do you just buy one for each unit or do you need one under every seat?

Buttkickers allow you to get that low frequency effect without rattling the rest of the house to pieces. SO if you have sound isolation issues, they can help because you can dial back the sub output some. If you have an open living room, they may be an option for you so that you can still enjoy a movie experience while a spouse or kid sleeps.

Generally you want to float the chairs somehow so that the effect is isolated to the furniture and not the floor. I have no direct experience with them, but it seems people are happy with one buttkicker for every other chair. Or a couple in a platform (for a second row).

I have four under my riser for a row of five seats. I also have one of my subs ON the riser to increase the tactile effect.
In couch or chair type seating it would be one for a seat and probably two for a couch. Don't forget to plan how you are going to do and hide the wiring and the seats should be isolated from the floor is the BK's are in the furniture.
