Hello,

I'm planning on getting one of these subs to partner with a Definitive Technology Mythos system (I haven't heard great things about DefTech's SuperCube subs, and I don't require their compact size).

Any thoughts on these three subs? I've read good things about all of them, but not a whole lot on how they directly compare.

I'm not too concerned with output capability or even necessarily extension (though I do want extended bass, of course). I'm more concerned with bass being tuneful, articulate, and well-integrated with the rest of the system.

Thanks for any thoughts and recommendations.

My guess is that they would compare like this:
mwf-15>a5-350>>>>lfm-1

Thanks, I saw this.

Thing is, I don't really care about absolute dB at 20Hz. Which seemed, at least, to be a big thing about this survey.

Also, the Outlaw wasn't included in this survey, which (with all due respect) makes me question the next poster's "guess."

Anyone with direct experience with all three of these?

Danny if it helps with your comparison, the Outlaw sub will prove to be very similar in performance if not identical to an HSU VTF3 MK3 W/O Turbo.

All three subs should be great performers, with only minor differences in performance. I own the LFM-1EX, and find it to be a great HT and music sub. I like the looks of the black enclosure and plexi top, and the price was right (on sale!). People tend to get hung up on specs, and while specs are useful, I don't think most would notice the difference between comparable models. Pick one based on looks, price, or availability, and be happy!
