I have a SA 4250HD box running on a Sony 40v3000 via HDMI.
Every time I turn on the TV or switch over from another input, my cable box keeps defaulting to downconverting whatever the channel is to 480i/SD resolution even on HD channels!
Changing the channel to SD, and then switching back to HD will correct the issue (will display as 720/1080), but why is doing this in the first place?
