With a Vision Pro (non HDP/HDQ, the one with only BNCs) will I be able to do the following?

1. Take 1080i/p 60Hz and convert it to either 1600*900p 72Hz or 1920*800p 72Hz?
2. Manipulate Porches - e.g. to make 1080p from the Xbox display correctly on my Nec XG?
3. What about 24p? Will the Vision Pro process this?

My idea was, as I have the Moome External HDMI-BNC-Box, that I could buy this rather inexpensive (well, nowadays) scaler and have basically the same functionality as the newer ones with HDMI/DVI inputs.
Is this basically possible or is the old Vision Pro missing important functions that are present on the HDP/HDQs?

Thanks for any input,

Daniel.

Well, after reading through the manual of the unit, which I just found online, it seems as if HD-input is not scaled at all, just passed-through. In this case, all the above will not work, of course

Is if is a VisionPro (first generation Lumagens) I don't think they can process HD at all.

If it is a VisionPro HDP then it can process HD and it also used all BNCs for everything.

Shawn,

it is a pure VisionPro. The HDPs go for more than I am willing to spend.
Thanks for the answer. The project 'scaler' just will have to wait some time :)
