Im doing some remodeling and would like to run my wires behind the walls. I have never owned a sub and would like to know if the only connection from receiver to sub a single rca jack cable. ( sub hsu 2/3 )

Is there anything wrong with going thru a wall plate for a sub connection?

In theory there may be insertion loss for every added connection point, but I can't imagine anyone saying it would make a difference. Especially for a sub's connection.

I ran RG-6 coaxial in-wall from the AVR area across the room to the sub area. I have an RCA cable going from the AVR to wall plate and one from the wall plate to sub. Works fine. Probably a 50ft RG-6 run.
