Last night the wife and I were watching the Biggest Loser and the reception was a mess. It would pixelate and freeze, and the audio would drop out. This type of thing occurs when it's raining heavily or snowing, except this time it was doing it only on NBC, not any other stations. I switched to the SD station and it was still doing it, though less frequently and less severly. This continued for the entire 2 hours that we watched the biggest loser. Did anybody else experience similar problems with NBC last night?

Sounds like you get dropouts in bad weather. If you need help with your antenna setup, post to the reception hardware forum with your zip code, the call sign of the NBC station you are having trouble with, and a description of your antenna setup (model, rooftop, attic, indoor & your location. You should also check with the VT local threads or threads.

That's the thing. I don't believe it's a reception issue. All other channels coming from the same satellites worked flawlessly. It did it on both NBC feeds (HD and SD) which are on two different satellites, both of which seemed completely uneffected on all other stations. It was an NBC issue.

NBC's distribution uses a band (Ka I believe) that's more susceptible to dropouts in heavy rain in the NYC area, vs. C band, which ABC and CBS use. I didn't watch any NBC last night, but if the issue was with NBC, it would have been seen nationwide.

If it was an issue with the local affiliate, it wouldn't be seen nationwide. But, it did it again last night, even though the skies were clear in the albany area (upfeed) as well as in my area.
Apparently I wasn't the only one to have this problem though. The Albany thread had somebody else mention that he saw the same problems.
