i lost my remote and now my samsung sir t-165 is on analog OTA only..

please tell me there is another way to enable digital OTA on this hdtv tuner besides buying an original samsung remote?

i have been all thru the menus and cannot find the option anywhere..

i have tried hooking with DVI an componet and vga and it still scans an finds analog channels only..

is there a way to do a factory reset/recall on this box?

please help me analog television sucks!!

I think Walmart sells a remote that can work with the SIR-T165. I think it was a Philips brand. I used one for a while after I lost my original remote (and later found it). Off hand I think if you just do a channel scan of over the air channels it should find all the analog and digital stations.

I had that set top box about five years ago. Are you sure you have the antenna connected to the top Rf input and not the one labeled as cable. The cable input would scan for analog over the air channels 2 through 13 and possibly UHF channels but labeled incorrectly.
