I finally dove in a bought the Sony VPL-VW60 from AVS. I now have a few "simple/dum" questions.

1. My new 100" carada screen will arrive tomorrow. How does the image know to fit 100"? Will i have spillover on the sides? If so, how do i fix?

2. I want my image to be sharp/bright so I'm going to assume that it mounted 13' or less from the screen. Correct? My seating distance will be around 14 to 15 feet from the screen.

3. Anyone know of good settings out of the box?

Thank you,
M1

Congrats on your new Proj.! The VW60 is an awesome machine!!!

1- OK well what you do is you turn on the projector and get it level and square to your screen. That is important. Then you use the Zoom and Image Shift on the projector to make it fit. The manual will tell you how to do that. It is easy. No worries.

2- It can be sharp and bright with an even longer throw. When you get your screen, if you have flexibility as to where you place your projector, try it out in a few positions and decide at that point. It will be plenty sharp and bright from about any throw. Your screen isn't super big so it isn't going to have any problems lighting that sucker up!

3- Search here in AVS for the VW60 owners/setup thread. Look for other threads about the VW60. This will help you see some settings that others are using with success. Getting the Avia disc is a good idea too as it will help you dial in your brightness/contrast etc. properly. The VW60 will look great out of the box and with a bit of effort you can increase the image quality.

I hope this helps.
