Hi guys, I've been reading these forums for a bit about these speaker systems for home theatres. This is my first post, so forgive my newbness.
I live in Brisbane, Australia (where prices are alot higher than in the USA), my living room is about 4m(12ft) x 5m(15ft). My budget is $3000 for the speakers + sub (since I already have got the onkyo 605).
I've recently got an onkyo 605 from overseas and am looking for some a 5.1 set up for 50% HD movies, 50% music.
So far I've listened to Mission, JBL and Jamo in that price range (sub included). They all sound pretty good, but not "exceptional".
I'm interested in:
Paradigm Monitor 7 for fronts,
Atom Monitors for surrounds, and
CC190 for center.
(This setup costs roughly $3000AUS. Type in google, Eastwood Hifi Australia.)
Will the 605 have enough power to drive these speakers? I cant find a store in Brisbane that can allow me to test these Para speakers along with the onkyo 605. Also which subs would suit these para's?
If you guys can give me an opinion on this setup or if you guys know of any shops in Brisbane/Australia that I can go to listen, that would be much appreciated.
