I am getting ready to order my recessed trims for my cans. I have Halo 5" H5ICAT cans. I am planning on Halo 5001 baffle trims that call for 50W R20, 50W Par20, 65W BR30, or 75W Par30 bulbs.
I don't want to see the bulb sticking out of the bottom of the trim so I planned on getting the Par20 bulb. When I went and looked at them I found that they are tiny. Is this bulb too small for a 5" can or will it fill the trim up nicely. I'm not concerned about light output, I know the 50w par20 will put out enough light, this is more of a visual thing.
Also, I was following SnowKarvers lead and going with the Philips Halogena' bulb.
Thoughts?

Looks like the baffle actually is coned shaped, so the bulb is probably fine. Do you have one in hand?
I bought a case of my bulbs online and paid about 2.00 each, included shipping. HD/Lowes will charge you 7-8 bucks each. I also bought my trim kits online.
BTW, I goggled "philips Halogena par20" and found people are selling the bulbs via ebay - case of 6 for 15.00!

I think PAR20 would be way too small for a 5" can light (they look a bit small in my <4" track lighting). Go with the PAR 30's.
Par 30's come in both long and short neck, although with a typical 5" can I don't think either would bea problem.

Ouch! Just bought six from HD. I guess I'll mailorder the rest when I'm done. (The six are in a circuit that is currently giving me all of my basement work light.)

Thanks Bud! I think I actually saved some of the links from your construction thread. I will definitely buy them online. I was planning to get the trims online anyway since no one in my area carries them.

This is kinda what I was thinking. I'll get the Par30's but get the short neck ones so they don't stick out. Jeez this place can make you anal!
