Love the feel of the Canon HG10, but it's not practicle because I won't be burning/viewing or editing in HD. I was considering waiting for the new Canon FS line to come out, but their sensors are very small and worry me. I do NOT want a Sony with a touch screen. What about the JVC GZ-MG555? Let's say price is not a problem, but I do want to stick with a consumer model. Thanks in advance.

the Canon HF10 is looking good. First reviews show great picture quality and the convinience of the flash memory. I love my HV20 but a tapeless camera with the same picture quality for less than $1000 is hard to beat.

This is one of them:

Maybe not a professional full review but looks promising nevertheless.
