any body has any experience where a length of the HDMI (or compo) cables are outdoors. without without boring you with the details of my cabling/structure issue, the situation is that my cabling run to the new pio will be shorter and much easer if part of the cable (about 10') is along the outer wall, on the outside. that means in winter it may be at or below freezing temps.

there was on post about this but no mention of what type of cable or content (SD, HD..)

any headsup will be appreciated before i expend the time and labor.

I'm no expert, but I do know that electricity travels BETTER in the cold, not worse. In fact, I think you should run the cable thru pipes filled w/liquid nitrogen!:p:p

Seriously, signal/quality wise, it'll be fine. But over the long haul, thermal expansion/contraction cycling and/or UV exposure can & will shorten the life of the cable, and maybe affect performance down the road.

so what happens when fast eletrons from the cold part of the cable:) meet slow wletrons of the hotter part :confused:of the cable? battles:D, reflections??

UV is not issues as if do do this way, i'll use a conduit
