have seem some really nice spreadsheets comparing the coupon eligible converter boxes.

read something about an option some may have to provide mts.

am confused. the spreadsheet didn't show which boxes did and didn't provide the option.

does this imply using the converter box will disallow hearing shows that are broadcast with stereo sound?

I would think ethat even though tvs may be analog they generally play stereo. will we be losing this by using the converter boxes?

MTS stereo on the RF output is optional, but I don't believe any of the announced CECBs has it.

Presumably the converter boxes have stereo RCA Phono output and Composite video RCA outputs - so stereo that way might be an option if you have AV inputs.

However for stereo via RF (i.e. the antenna input) MTS encoding would be needed for stereo - which presumably bumps up the cost of the box a bit.
