I know this is a really stupid question

..... but I plan on buying the VTF-3 MK3 Subwoofer and I just want to make sure im not making a mistake. Right now I have the Kef psw2150 and I have the volume on the sub turned down really low cause if i put it higher it will make popping noises i tried everything but when I play call of duty 4 for instance gun noises will make it pop and i know that its not good.

So would this sub not do that? I know i sound like a idiot and i admit I dont know alot about this stuff and im willing to learn so i figured its better to ask then not to ask at all.

The room that my ht is in is a 10x12x15 but I plan on moving out of my parents house lol and having my own place . Also I have it hooked up to a onkyo 805 and tried messing with the settings. So if u could help me out a little and make me feel good about spending $800 on a sub please do lol

Your room is only 1800 cubc feet, I would say that you would be BLOWN AWAY!:D
My room is 4800 cubic feet and I am pretty much wowed by mine.
I too had the same issues that you are experiencing right now, and I upgraded to the VTF-3 MK3 a few weeks ago. ZERO popping. I also discovered that bass is supposed to be FELT more than heard. Your sub is unable to handle the low end bass (The one that is felt).

Get the HSU VTF-3 MK3, you would be more than satisfied.

I think it would be a safe bet that the HSU would out play your current sub. In that room, I think you would be quite pleased with the result. It's better to get a sub that you can play below its threshold. That way, the risk of overdrivinng it is minimized ;)
