Unforunately, I am a nit picker.

I have had my Panny now for about 2 months and the other day I left the Blue Ray player on the splash screen while I was at work.

When I returned home a started watching it my wife and I noticed a change in PQ.

It is hard to explain.

It looks better and worse.

The detail looks like it has improved and the blacks have changed but the whites sometimes look lighter.


Is this normal or did I damage the PQ by leaving the splash screen on for 8 hours?

What kind of damage could be caused by this?

I have no burn in or IR.

If you don't see any IR, I think it's probably just your imagination. Make sure the settings are the same as they were before.

I think you are right.

My settings were off.

Once my Panasonic TH-50PZ750U was left on for over 12 hours when my cable box (Comcast Motorola) went to a green screen. For a couple of days I could swear the picture was more blurry and kinda dark, but it soon all went away...either my imagination or it really did return to normal. So I think you will be OK.
