This disc has had rave PQ reviews, but it's low lit and perhaps not the best film to demo your C3X0180 with.... wondering if others feel differently.

Is it reference quality?

It's supposed to be, yes, (and I'm not doubting it), but I thought it looked it tad flat.

I'll have to try it on my RS2 and see if it looks any different.

I think I'm going to wait until it is released on Blu Ray... It likely shouldn't be more than a few months or so... It is just that I also have D-Box Love seats, so I can't use the HD-DVD for D-Box also.... I really look forward to seeing this movie, but I guess I'll have to wait for Blu Ray... What studio issues it?

Good... Shouldn't be a long wait. They will probably use the same encoding and just stick it on a blu Ray disc... All the more reason it should be out within 6 months if you ask me...

I watched it last night on SD and it looked incredible IMO. I had no clue what type of movie it was (CGI animated). I just seen Angelina on the box;) I wasn't in the mood for thay type of flick, but it got a hold of me and never let go. FYI it looked awesome on the HD80. This seems like the a great movie to demonstrate ansi and on/off contrast and being that is produced and shot in digital it shows again how good digital can look when the digital chain has never been broken.

The audio was also very well done IMO.
