For all I know, they put some piece of junk inside that barely receives anything.

Agreed. I wish manuf's would publish the specifications. You really have to rely on testimonials for this.

I had this TV for just under a week before I returned it to Walmart. I can't say anything about the receiver sensitivity as I only used it for cable. But everything about the tuner was SLOW. It took over an hour for the thing to scan all the available channels on the cable. Changing channels was really slow also. There was about a 4-second delay for the picture to appear between channels. The remote was difficult to use also for directly entering a channel number.

Besides the tuner being slow, the built-in DVD player was also difficult to use. I could never get the thing to show the main menu of a DVD. The power supply seemed noisy. Finally, the colors and picture just weren't right. After a few days I knew I was never going to be happy with the TV so I returned it.
