What are the normal setting I should use for the over scan controls? Should I keep it at 0? I would like to know what the normal amount of overscan is?

View Full Version : Panny 9UK overscan control settings? Oliver Dubin 03-07-08, 11:54 AM What are the normal setting I should use for the over scan controls? Should I keep it at 0? I would like to know what the normal amount of overscan is? Oliver Dubin 03-08-08, 12:33 PM Anyone? assJack1 03-08-08, 06:15 PM My 65" 9UK has a 1:1 mapping option in the menu section. Have you tried this? Oliver Dubin 03-09-08, 12:02 AM What does that option do? Where in the menu do I find it? assJack1 03-09-08, 09:19 AM One your Panasonic Remote control press the POS./SIZE button then scroll down to 1:1 mapping and turn on. This feature is available when the input is 1080i/p. But even if you do not have good 1080i signal, the process to correct overscan is simple. I like to first squeeze the vertical so that the entire image can be seen. Then I slowly adjust the size, making it bigger all the while adjusting the postition. Then I do the same for horizontal. Squeeze the image until you see the whole thing, then expand one step at a time. After each expansion, check for center. Good Luck! Oliver Dubin 03-10-08, 01:45 AM What is 1:1 mapping? |
