I am looking at either a Mitsubishi HC1500 or an Optoma HD70, and a blu-ray player to go with it.
I am not sure what type of sound system I am going to purchase yet. In the meantime, is there anyway to listen to blu-ray movies via headphones with just a projector & blu-ray player? If so, can I listen to a downmixed version of uncompressed audio tracks?

Pick up the Sony STR-DG910 Receiver and add-on the TDM-BT1 Bluetooth Interface and a set of bluetooth wireless headphones.

Sony?
Yuck , now that's asking for trouble , If you have a set of computer speakers you hookup the analog cables to it and use the headphone from there , or any avr has headphone outs.

I just plug into the headphone jack on the front of my receiver. All receivers have a headphone jack.
