I just hooked my HC1500 up to my media center pc. I am using a vga cable and getting 720p in pretty good. How can I make this better? Would a DVI-HDMI cord work better-would it be worth the 80$?

The big question. I have a 8800 GTS 320 Graphics Card. Are there any special settings or connections that I should use to make my screen show up better?

Also, Remember with this projector, 1080i usually looks better than 720p (at least on HD-DVDs, and upscaled DVDs, and on PS3.

Using DVI/HDMI will definitely give you better picture quality than VGA. No need to spend $80 on the cable: www.monoprice.com

On your PC, make sure to set the resolution to 1280x720. Maybe 1080i looks better on the HC1500 because it does a better job of scaling than the sources you mentioned. Your HTPC may do a better job of scaling than the HC1500. Get a cheap cable from Monoprice and try for yourself.

You won't lose a thing in terms of PQ when running thru the HDMI switch...that's the beauty of digital.
