Hi,
I was given like a 56 inch or bigger philips 347H projection tv. It has an HD source on the back and it is not a DVI port. It is an older tv but in very good condition. I do not have the manual and I thought just by briefly looking it was a DVI port. I bought an HDMI adapter for DVI and it is to big so that tells me it is not a dvi port. It almost looks like a VGA port but behind the tv it says above the port "HD" so I am assuming when they made this tv that is what was used for HD. Id say 5-10 years ago this thing was very expensive. My question is what kind of port is it? Do they make an adapter for this if i have an hdmi cable? I have tried to find the tv online and cannot find any information about it. Maybe someone can help me with this so i can get the proper name of the port input. I have an HDMI cable and I am hoping i can buy an adapter like you can with the dvi's in order to use my new upscale dvd player. This may sound like a dumb question but can anyone help me please? It is a CRT Philips projection like tv that has an HD tuner built in it before HD was really even popular. I just need to know what this port is to hook my upscale dvd converter because from what I understand component cables will not upscale. It has 3 component inputs, 3 svideo inputs,4 rca inputs and then this unknown HD input.
Much appreciated
Corey

Well first off all your in the wrong forum ... This forum is for Front Projection not Rear Projection.

If you want help I suggest u post a picture of the port, your description is kinda vague and a picture is worth a 1000 words... I don't think anyone will be able to help just from the TV name either theres lots of rear projection TVs.

Sorry I can't be more help
