I have 2 pieces of an Otari model "MX5050MKIV-2 BIII Master Tape Recorder" reel to reel units for sale. These units were purchased for a radio station studio in the early 90's and never used. The station never turned on because of some sort of legal issue. Recently everything was sold off and I ended up with these. They show some corrosion from storage (cosmetic only & pretty minor), but the motors run and it looks like everything works. I'm sure they need calibration by someone that knows how to treat them. I have two books and one bottle of the original lube. Sorry, I don't have any good tape to check them out.

Also, from the same lot I have a "Tascam 122MKII Master Cassette Deck". There were two of these also, one has been kept by my business partner and he had to play with the cassette door interlock switch in order to get it running. The motor would not run because the deck did not think the door was shut. After some exercise on the switch the deck works/sounds great. I've got two books with this unit (original warranty cards are still in the package!!).
