I am running the BenQ W500 PJ and originally ran a 25 ft HDMI cable from monoprice. I rearranged the component locations and needed a 15 ft HDMI extention. I attached and there was no communication from the DVR to the W500.

I am currently running component cable from monoprice but HD cable is coming this spring and am thinking I should look again at the HDMI cabling.

Has anyone else had problems with 50 ft runs with the W500?

Or should I just look at a $20 repeater?

If you don't want any hassles, get the Bonded HDMI cable from Bluejeans.

I am running a 75' cable from mono-price with a 6ft extention (the cable is really stiff) with absolutely no problems at all. Maybe you have a bad connection somewhere.

I use the extention because the 75ft cable is VERY stiff and thick so the 6 ft is just to provide a bit of flexibility going into the projector.

Or you can throw money away on a more expensive cable.

I do not have any experience with your projector, but I have the panasonic ax-200 and phillips DVP-5982. I have a great connection with the 50' monoprice 22 gauge HDMI cable (item #2804) with port savers (item #2891) on both ends to simplify the terminations. I am not an expert, but I think there must be a loose connection somewhere. My projector came with a 25' hdmi (which was too short, hence the monoprice cable) and it did NOT connect securely to the projector or dvd player; the monoprice cables definitely click in and feel very secure.
