Hi Folks

Yesterday I got my Oppo 980 and have it hooked up to a Yamaha RV-V657 via toslink and analog only for audio. I have a HDMI going from the Oppo to my sammy 50in plasma directly.

Question is, what are the optimial settings for audio both in the Oppo and receiver.

I like to listed to SACDs as well as watch movies.

My speakers setup is 5.1 with Axiom bookshelves for L/C/R.

Lastly, maybe a dumb question, do I need to disable HDMI audio for the digital audion to come through via toslink?

Sorry lots of questions but I did not find a sticky or posts that explained what I was looking for.

All explained on the 'official' 980 thread. You will need to use analog for SACD and you should disable HDMI audio to use the TOSlink (or coax) digital output to best advantage.
